Yulduz Mazhitova is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at ذكذكتسئµ and a Fellow of Advance HE. She is the module leader for Econometrics, where she teaches students to use R, work with real datasets and interpret empirical results. Her wider teaching includes management accounting and the digital, regulatory and ethical issues facing businesses.
Yulduz began her professional career in retail banking and later worked at a start-up bank, focusing on lending and risk analysis. This practical background informs her approach to teaching and her wider interest in financial risk.
Her research focuses on risk in financial technology and decentralised finance. The collapse of Terra–LUNA is central to this work, particularly what it reveals about investor behaviour, collateral management and liquidations during periods of market stress.
She also works on curriculum, assessment and moderation across ذكذكتسئµ and its international partnerships. Yulduz has coordinated student visits to the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the European Central Bank, allowing students to connect their studies with the work of major financial institutions. In 2024, she was nominated for the Faculty of Business and Law’s Student Choice Teaching Award.
